Professional Web Designer Tips

Generally, for any Professional Web Designer, I consider some of the basic key factors while designing website for both end-users as well as Search Engines. Some of them are as follows:

• Color combinations according to website theme or industry.
  
• Non-Glittering colors (use only Eye-friendly colors for fonts, headers, banners, etc.,)
  
• Optimize the graphics / images (for fast loading)
  
• Browser compatibility
  
• Monitor compatibility (800 x 600 or above)
  
• Html Validation
  
• CSS Design
  
• Keyword rich image file names (if required)
  
• Keyword rich URLs
  
• Proper Navigation (for end-users and Search Engines)
  
• No JavaScript Menus, Drop Downs, Hyperlinks to your subpages. Use Plain HTML links to link other subpages for Search Engine compatible (Parsing for Top Search Engine Results).
  
• Non-Frame web site (Most of them are not Search engine friendly)
  
• Don't build your entire site with Flash. Use wherever necessary, like for intros, banners, headers & etc) so that it will be useful to both End Users and Search Engines Robots (for better indexing).
• Use Site Map if your website contains more that 10 Pages.
